Universal Orlando has three theme parks - Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Epic Universe, which opened on May 22, 2025 with five themed worlds - and a water theme park, Volcano Bay. SeaWorld Orlando has its own water park, Aquatica Orlando. LEGOLAND Florida, in Winter Haven in Polk County, opened on October 15, 2011 on the grounds of the old Cypress Gardens and keeps the gardens. In Tampa, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is a theme park and a zoo together, with more than 200 animal species, and its water park is Adventure Island.
01Magic Kingdom Park
Orange County. Magic Kingdom opened on October 1, 1971, the park Walt Disney World was built around. It covers about 107 acres in Bay Lake, laid out as a hub and spokes: Main Street U.S.A. runs from the gate to Cinderella Castle, and from there the paths fan out into Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.

Orange County. EPCOT opened on October 1, 1982, and covers 305 acres, more than twice the size of Magic Kingdom. Spaceship Earth, the eighteen-story geodesic sphere at the entrance, is both the landmark and a ride through the history of communication.

Orange County. The park opened on May 1, 1989, as Disney-MGM Studios, meant to be both a theme park and a working film and television studio. Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida had a building here and real soundstages ran productions.

Orange County. Animal Kingdom opened on Earth Day, April 22, 1998, and at 580 acres it was the largest theme park in the world when it opened. Most of that ground is animal habitat rather than midway.

Orange County. Universal Studios Florida opened on June 7, 1990, the first of what is now four parks at Universal Orlando. Like Disney's studio park it was meant to be a working production facility as well as an attraction, and for a few years it was, but production moved away by the middle of the 1990s and the park turned fully to rides.

Orange County. Islands of Adventure opened on May 28, 1999. The layout is a ring around a central lagoon, with eight themed islands reached in order: Port of Entry at the gate, then Marvel Super Hero Island, Toon Lagoon, Skull Island, Jurassic Park, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Hogsmeade, the Lost Continent and Seuss Landing.

Orange County. Epic Universe opened to the public on May 22, 2025, several miles southeast of the older Universal parks on a 750-acre site, with the park itself taking up about 110 acres.

Orange County. SeaWorld Orlando opened on December 15, 1973, and covers about 200 acres. United Parks and Resorts owns it. The park has gone further toward rides than its name suggests and now runs eight coasters.

Polk County. Legoland Florida opened on October 15, 2011, on the ground where Cypress Gardens had stood since the 1930s and closed in 2009. Merlin Entertainments owns and runs it. Unlike the parks up the road, this one is aimed squarely at children roughly two to twelve, and the rides are built to that scale rather than scaled down from adult ones.

Hillsborough County. Anheuser-Busch opened the gates on March 31, 1959, as a garden and hospitality center beside its Tampa brewery, and admission was free for years. The park grew into one of the larger attractions in Florida, and it now covers about 335 acres under the ownership of United Parks & Resorts.
