158 acres of white stucco on 30A, built from the early 2000s and unlike anything around it.
ABOUT THIS PLACE
Every building is white, and that is not a preference but the rule. The design takes from Bermuda and from the Mediterranean, with thick masonry walls, flat roofs, courtyards closed off from the street, and narrow pathways cutting between the buildings. The walls are built to stand up to hurricanes as well as to look the way they do. The family that developed it bought the land in the late 1970s and held it for decades before building. About four hundred people live here now. The Town Center has a small number of shops and restaurants and is open to anyone walking through, and the streets and pathways are worth walking whether or not you buy anything. Pocket parks are threaded through the plan the same way they are at Rosemary Beach. It sits just east of Seacrest and west of Rosemary, with Deer Lake State Park on its western side, and the Timpoochee Trail runs past the front of it
