Hightower Beach Park
Brevard County · Atlantic Coast
Over 18 acres and 2,800 feet of beachfront served by just 31 parking spaces, with a 560-foot boardwalk and wildlife observation points.
ABOUT THIS PLACE
Hightower Beach Park covers more than 18 acres with 2,800 feet of beachfront, the longest stretch of any park in Satellite Beach, and it is served by only 31 parking spaces, two of them ADA. A 560-foot wooden boardwalk runs through it with beach and wildlife observation areas and education signage along the way. There is an ADA dune crossover, restrooms, showers, covered picnic areas and benches. That much frontage against that small a parking lot means arriving early counts for more here than at the other city beaches. Parking is enforced from seven in the morning until seven at night, every day of the year, and runs on a virtual pass rather than a meter. Brevard County residents who do not live in Satellite Beach can apply for a free pass covering Hightower and Pelican through the city's parking program, which is worth doing in advance rather than at the barrier. The recreation department number is 321-773-6458
