PARKS & OUTDOORS

Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park

Osceola County · Central Florida

An aerial ropes course in the pines off US 192 in Kissimmee, with 97 challenges across four adult courses and two for children.

ABOUT THIS PLACE

The park is built into a stand of pine at 7625 Sinclair Road, a few minutes off the Kissimmee tourist strip, and it is the trees themselves that hold the course up. Ninety-seven aerial challenges are strung between them across four adult routes that step up in difficulty. Green sits low and asks little. Blue runs higher and harder. Silver is high with moderate difficulty, and Red is both high and genuinely demanding, with ladders carrying climbers about fifty feet off the ground. Two separate children's courses hold 21 challenges between them, built low and reachable by adults standing underneath. The obstacles are the usual family: swinging logs, suspended bridges, Tarzan ropes, cargo nets and cable traverses, ending in zip lines, the longest of them running 425 feet. Everyone is in a harness on a continuous safety line throughout, so a slip means hanging rather than falling. It is outdoors and physical, so morning slots are easier in summer
