Island H2O Water Park
Osceola County · Central Florida
A 12-acre water park at Margaritaville Resort Orlando in Kissimmee, opened in 2019 and built around a wristband that follows the visitor.
ABOUT THIS PLACE
Island H2O opened in 2019 as part of Margaritaville Resort Orlando, on a 300-acre site off US 192 that also holds a 187-room hotel and the Sunset Walk shopping street. The water park itself covers 12 acres and cost about 40 million dollars to build. It holds fourteen water attractions along with three places to eat and a shop. What set it apart when it opened was the technology rather than the slides. A visitor syncs a wristband to the park's app, and from then on the park photographs and films them automatically through the day, lets them vote on the music playing across the site, and runs games that earn rewards as they move around. It is a smaller park than the Disney or Universal water parks and it is built for a resort crowd rather than a full day's campaign, which makes it a reasonable half day. Disney's Animal Kingdom is under five miles away
