FLORIDA PLACE TO EXPLORE
Pirate's Dinner Adventure
Orange County · Central Florida
An interactive dinner show in Orlando built around a full-size ship in an indoor lagoon, running since 1999.
ABOUT THIS PLACE
The show has run in Orlando since 1999, near Universal, and is built on a scale that distinguishes it from a dinner theater in a hotel ballroom. A full-size Spanish galleon sits in an indoor lagoon with the audience seated in tiers around it, so the action happens on the water, on the rigging and in the aisles rather than on a stage at one end. The whole visit runs about three hours. The first ninety minutes are a pre-show in a pirate village, with performers in character among the crowd. The show and the meal then run together for another ninety minutes, with sword fighting, aerial work from the masts and a story the audience is pulled into rather than watching. A three-course meal is included at every ticket level. Seating comes in three tiers: general admission anywhere in the arena, Treasure seating guaranteed in the third or fourth row, and a front-row tier that adds parking and photographs. Children are given a great deal to do, which is the point of it
