ICON Park

Orange County · Central Florida

A 20-acre open entertainment district on International Drive with a 400-foot observation wheel and no admission charge to walk in.

ABOUT THIS PLACE

ICON Park opened on May 4, 2015, as I-Drive 360 and was renamed in 2018. The site covers about 20 acres within a larger 40-acre development of hotels and restaurants on International Drive. Nothing is charged to walk in. Visitors buy tickets for the individual attractions or a bundle, which makes it a reasonable place to spend an evening without committing to a full theme park day. The Wheel, originally the Orlando Eye, stands 400 feet tall and has been owned by Merlin Entertainments since March 2024. Nine attractions operate on the site, among them Madame Tussauds, the SEA LIFE aquarium, the Orlando Slingshot at 300 feet, a carousel, an arcade and a 7D theater. More than forty shops and a row of restaurants fill the rest, including Carrabba's, Outback Steakhouse, Shake Shack and Ole Red. One ride is gone: the Orlando FreeFall drop tower closed permanently after a fourteen-year-old boy fell to his death in March 2022, and it was dismantled in March 2023
