WATER & COAST
Shipwreck Island Waterpark
Bay County · Panhandle & Emerald Coast
Fifteen acres and three million gallons of water, with more than twenty slides and pools.
ABOUT THIS PLACE
Shipwreck Island covers 15 acres and holds three million gallons of water across more than twenty attractions. The ones named on its own site are the Zoom Flume, the White Knuckle River and the Pirate's Race, with the Tadpole Hole set aside for small children. There is a large wave pool, and a lazy river running through the park. Anyone planning a visit should check the current calendar first, because the park does not publish a fixed season. Height rules sort the place out for a family with children of different ages. Zoom Flume, White Knuckle River, Tree Top Drop and the Raging Rapids raft ride all need forty-eight inches. Skull Island needs forty-two and the Ocean Motion wave pool needs thirty-six. The Lazy River, Splash Cove, Tadpole Hole and the Great Shipwreck play structure have no height limit at all. A Tipping Bucket soaks whoever is standing under it when it goes. Cabanas can be rented and there is food and drink on site. It stands at 12201 Hutchison Boulevard
