Where do cruise ships leave from in Florida?

Six Florida ports send cruise ships out, and a seventh, Key West, is a port of call.

PortMiami in Miami-Dade County, Port Canaveral in Brevard County and Port Everglades at Fort Lauderdale in Broward County are the three busiest cruise ports in the world. In the fiscal year that ended in September 2025, by each port's own count, Port Canaveral had more than 8.6 million passenger movements, PortMiami 8,564,225 and Port Everglades 4,773,873, and on September 14, 2026 PortMiami passed 10 million in the fiscal year that ends that month. On the Gulf side, Port Tampa Bay sails from downtown Tampa in Hillsborough County and counted 1.66 million cruise passengers in its 2025 fiscal year. JAXPORT in Jacksonville, Duval County, has Carnival all year and Norwegian from November to April, both on four- and five-day trips. The Port of Palm Beach at Riviera Beach sends Margaritaville at Sea Paradise out on two- to five-night trips. At Key West in Monroe County, ships from Miami, Port Everglades, Port Canaveral, Tampa and Jacksonville tie up for the day at Mallory Square and Pier B. From PortMiami, on Dodge Island off downtown Miami in Miami-Dade County. The port lists 26 cruise lines that sail from it or call there, and MSC, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Carnival and Virgin Voyages have terminals of their own; Terminal C takes ships from several lines and Terminal J the small and luxury ships.
