FLORIDA PLACE TO EXPLORE

Wild Willy's Adventure Zone

Okaloosa County · Panhandle & Emerald Coast

A family fun park on Okaloosa Island with dinosaur-themed miniature golf, go-karts, laser tag and a ropes course.

ABOUT THIS PLACE

Wild Willy's Adventure Zone, across from the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach, combines two 18-hole dinosaur-themed miniature golf courses with go-karts, a ropes course, laser tag, bumper boats, a 4D theater and an arcade, part indoors and part out. It stands across the road from the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island, so it is walkable from the beach rather than a separate drive. The dinosaur theme runs through both golf courses, with animated models set among the holes. The go-kart track, the ropes course and the bumper boats are outside; the laser tag arena, the theater and the arcade are indoors and air conditioned, which is what makes the place useful in the afternoon when the heat or a thunderstorm clears everyone off the sand. Attractions are bought singly or in a package. Because it sits in the same cluster as the Gulfarium, the pier and the Boardwalk, a family can move between four different things in an afternoon without moving the car, and parking on the island is free
