South Inlet Park Beach

Palm Beach County · South Florida & the Keys

A Boca Raton county park with 850 feet of guarded sand, a 24-hour jetty, a surf wheelchair, and paid parking.

ABOUT THIS PLACE

South Inlet Park is 12.67 acres at Boca Raton, guarding 850 feet of beach, with a jetty open twenty-four hours. It is one of only two county beach parks that charge for parking, and it is one of three that keep a beach surf wheelchair, arranged through a lifeguard. There is bus parking as well as regular parking, a reservable group pavilion and picnic areas with grills. The address is given as 1100 South Ocean Boulevard, Boca Raton. The jetty at the Boca Raton Inlet puts rock structure into the water and snorkelers think well of it, but the current runs harder near the jetty and there are submerged rocks, so the lifeguards' instructions matter more here than at an open beach. Dogs are not permitted anywhere in the park. Sitting at the inlet mouth means a steady procession of boats going out and coming in, which for a good many visitors is the entertainment
