R. G. Kreusler Park Beach

Palm Beach County · South Florida & the Keys

The smallest county beach park at just over four acres, and one of only two in the county where you pay to park.

ABOUT THIS PLACE

R. G. Kreusler Memorial Park is 4.23 acres with 450 feet of guarded beach, the smallest of the county's beach parks. It is also one of only two that charge for parking, through automated kiosks that take credit cards only, so there is no cash option at the machine. A disabled placard on its own does not exempt a vehicle from the fee: the exemption applies to vehicles carrying specialized equipment such as ramps, lifts or hand controls, to disabled-veteran plates, or to a Florida Toll Exemption permit. The city gives the address as 2695 South Ocean Boulevard, Palm Beach, and the park opens sunrise to sunset with parking at two dollars an hour. It sits beside the Lake Worth Casino building, so the shops and restaurants there are a short walk from the sand, which is why it fills with winter visitors. There are benches, a wide paved walkway, outdoor showers, restrooms and bicycle parking, and a paved path with viewing areas looking west over the Lake Worth lagoon
