At 1700 Bowmans Beach Road on Sanibel, and the walk from the parking area to the sand takes about five minutes, which keeps it quieter than the rest. Unobstructed white sand covered in shells, and you can walk several miles of largely undeveloped shore from it. Restrooms, showers, charcoal grills, a pavilion, a playground and fitness stations, with paddlecraft launches and hiking trails behind. Dawn to dusk. Parking is $5 an hour with a 24-hour option, and the Lee County annual pass covers it. Dogs are welcome on Sanibel beaches on a leash.
