Charlotte County's beach on Manasota Key, at Chadwick Park. A 900-foot boardwalk runs behind the sand with three covered lookouts along it. Volleyball, basketball, horseshoe pits and a playground sit behind that, with four small shelters and three large pavilions that can be rented. Restrooms, showers, water stations, picnic tables and charcoal grills. Open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pay to park, with seasonal and annual passes sold. Dogs are not allowed on the beach or on the fishing piers.
