155 acres at Tarpon Springs, with a mile-long causeway running out to a beach island at the end of it. White sand, with marked areas for swimming and for windsurfing, and the causeway itself is known for the sunset. Back on the mainland are nine picnic shelters, two playgrounds, a ball field, six restrooms, walking trails and launches for canoes and kayaks. Eagles, gopher tortoises and fox squirrels live in the park. Open 7 a.m. to sunset every day but the day after Thanksgiving and December 25. Beach parking is $6, paid by license plate.
