Sand Key Park Beach

95 acres at the north end of Sand Key in Clearwater, in two parts: the beach and the park behind it. White sand with seasonal lifeguards, and loggerhead turtles nest here from April through October. Benches look out over the salt marsh. Two bathhouses with changing areas, outdoor showers, a playground, two shelters with grills, a concession stand, umbrella and cabana rentals, two beach wheelchairs and a dog park. Open 7 a.m. to sunset every day but the day after Thanksgiving and December 25. Parking is $6, pay by plate, card only.
