Ocean Reef Park Beach
Palm Beach County · South Florida & the Keys
A 13-acre Riviera Beach county park with 700 feet of guarded sand and a surf wheelchair kept on site.
ABOUT THIS PLACE
Ocean Reef Park is 13.68 acres at Riviera Beach, guarding 700 feet of its frontage. A beach surf wheelchair is kept here and is arranged by speaking to a lifeguard, which is worth knowing in advance rather than discovering at the dune line. There is parking, restrooms and picnic areas with grills. The address is 3860 North Ocean Drive, Riviera Beach, and it opens sunrise to sunset. Parking is free, which on this stretch of coast is rare enough to be the reason many people come. The playground is built for ages five to twelve. A dune overlook runs above the sand, and accessible mats are put out on request alongside the wheelchair. Saltwater fishing is allowed outside the guarded swimming area and surfing is not allowed inside it. The Verdenia Baker group pavilion is booked on 561-966-6611. The rocks at one end hold small fish and are used for snorkeling at high tide. Balloons have been banned since September 1, 2017. Beach conditions are on 561-629-8775
