WATER & COAST

Anne’s Beach

Monroe County · South Florida & the Keys

At mile marker 73.5 on the ocean side of Lower Matecumbe Key, open sunrise to sunset. Three hundred feet of boardwalk runs behind the sand to six pavilions with covered picnic tables, paved parking and public restrooms. The water is shallow and calm, which makes it one of the easier Keys beaches with small children, and the whole thing was rebuilt after Hurricane Irma. Dogs are allowed on a leash. No fishing, no grills and no open flames.
