WATER & COAST

Little Talbot Island State Park Beach

Duval County · North Florida & First Coast

Over five miles of beach with two parking areas and three boardwalks, and no lifeguards - swimming is at your own risk, and not near the Fort George River Inlet at the south end. $5 a vehicle for up to eight people, $4 for a single-occupant vehicle, $2 on foot or by bicycle. Open 8:00am to sunset, 365 days a year. Two bathhouses with running water and changing stalls, and outdoor showers along the boardwalks. Twenty campsites from $24 a night. The Dune Ridge Trail loops four miles through five different natural communities, and shelling turns up clam, scallop, oyster and periwinkle along with fossilized shark teeth.
