How do I register to vote in Florida?

Online at RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov, at any tax collector's office that issues driver licenses, or on a paper application by mail or in person; paper forms are at every county Supervisor of Elections office and at public libraries.

You give your Florida driver license or Florida ID card number, or, if you have neither, the last four digits of your Social Security number. The deadline is 29 days before an election: the registration books close on the 29th day.

If you move from another state, your registration there does not carry over: to vote in Florida you must register here. If you move within Florida, update the address on your record, by phone, online, or on a signed application or written notice to the Supervisor of Elections of the county you moved to. By phone or online you give your date of birth and your Florida driver license number, Florida ID card number or the last four digits of your Social Security number. Every county's Supervisor of Elections is listed on the state Division of Elections' website. A 2026 law, House Bill 991, requires the supervisors to verify voters' United States citizenship from sources the law names.
