How do I compare hospitals in Florida?

Two official sites compare Florida hospitals side by side: Medicare's Care Compare and the state's FloridaHealthFinder.

Care Compare shows hospital performance data and the Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating, and the same site compares nursing homes and other kinds of care. FloridaHealthFinder, run by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, compares the quality and cost of hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers and has information on emergency rooms. Look up the hospitals near any town you are considering before you choose where to live, and see which of them your coverage includes; with a Medicare Advantage plan, that is the plan's network.
