Look it up on FloridaHealthFinder, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration's site, before you visit.
Its Nursing Home Guide shows each home's inspection ratings and inspection records, legal actions and emergency actions, the state's Nursing Home Watch List and the homes given the Gold Seal. Its assisted living search shows each facility's location, services and available beds, with its inspection reports and final orders, complaints and emergency actions. Medicare's Care Compare covers nursing homes as well. For help finding care in a county, call the state's Elder Helpline at 1-800-963-5337.
