Seven springs on the Santa Fe River, privately run, with clear 72-degree water and cave systems divers come a long way to see.
ABOUT THIS PLACE
Ginnie Springs Outdoors is a privately run property in High Springs with seven springs on it and the Santa Fe River running through. The water holds 72 degrees the year round and is clear enough that swimmers can see the bottom from the surface. Ginnie Spring feeds into the Ballroom, a large underwater cavern that divers can enter with a guide line, and Devil's Eye and Devil's Ear open into one of the cave systems that bring technical cave divers here from other states and other countries. Dogwood Spring is another on the property. For everyone else the draw is simpler: swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding and tubing down the river, with tubes, snorkeling gear, canoes, kayaks and paddleboards all rented on site and life jackets provided at no charge. Camping is available, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian with them. Opening hours change with the season, generally 8 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon Monday through Thursday and later on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A new alcohol and open container policy took effect on April 21, 2026, so check the rules before planning a group trip
