There is a mile of white sand beach, and Western Lake, a 100-acre coastal dune lake with a boat ramp for kayaks, canoes and paddleboards. A one-mile nature trail starts at the beach parking, and a longer trail runs four and a half miles through the forest.
A state park at Santa Rosa Beach with 156 RV sites on water, 30 or 50 amp electric and sewer, twenty-two tent sites with raised pads and fire rings, sixteen one-bedroom bungalows sleeping four and sixteen two-bedroom cabins sleeping six. There are 3.2 miles of white quartz sand beach, more than fifteen miles of marked hiking trails, rare coastal dune lakes, and a tram from the day-use parking down to the beach.
An RV park at Miramar Beach, two blocks from the beaches of the Emerald Coast and three miles from Destin. The park is dog friendly, on a leash. Its own page says there is no swimming pool and no playground, so what it offers is a place to park close to the water rather than a resort.
A fish camp, RV park and marina on the banks of Black Creek at Freeport, with 111 sites on 20, 30 and 50 amp service with water and sewer. A boat ramp and a covered slip come with a stay, and there is a fishing dock. Motel rooms, cottages, cabins and bungalows are also let. The creek gives direct access to the Choctawhatchee River, the bay and the Gulf.
An RV park on Veterans Road at Santa Rosa Beach. It has RV sites and tiny home rentals, and its own page names new pickleball courts. The site gives no figures for the number of sites, hookups or facilities, so none is claimed here.
A hotel at the eastern end of Scenic Highway 30A, in the coastal town of Rosemary Beach. Rooms include Gulf view options looking out over white sand beaches and the Gulf of Mexico. Havana Beach Bar and Grill is the dining room, and Spa Pearl offers massage and spa treatments. There is a hotel pool.
A beachfront inn at Santa Rosa Beach with 60 guest rooms and suites, plus seven family suites recently added. It sits between the Gulf of Mexico and a 220-acre coastal dune lake, framed by longleaf pine forest, with 1,400 linear feet of beachfront. There is a beach club, a family pool, and the Fish Out of Water restaurant.
A Hilton Grand Vacations property on Baytowne Avenue in the Sandestin resort. Accommodations run from studios to one and two bedroom suites. There are outdoor pools, including a zero-entry pool, and the daily resort charge covers tennis court access. Jolee Island Nature Park is two tenths of a mile away, Henderson Beach State Park eight miles, and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport twenty-nine.
