About 70 miles west of Key West and reached only by ferry, seaplane or private boat. Entry is $15 a person and covers seven days in a row, and nobody under 16 pays. The beach is on Garden Key in front of Fort Jefferson, with a primitive campground a short walk from the dock at $15 a night for a site. Nothing is sold out there: the food, the water and the gear all come with you, and all of it goes home with you.
