WATER & COAST

Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park Beach

Collier County · South Florida & the Keys

A state park with about a mile of Gulf shore running north to Wiggins Pass, known for shelling; taking live shells is not allowed. Currents in the pass are dangerous, so swimming is permitted only from the south boundary of the park up to the double red flags at the north end of parking area four. Four lots sit along the beach and a fifth serves the boat launch, which vehicles over 24 feet must use; the launch costs $5. Portable restrooms at each lot, with hand sanitizer but no running water. Beach wheelchairs, standard and electric, are lent out in the order people ask.
