Longboat Key Beach

The Town of Longboat Key's beach, reached through twelve public accesses, most of them on Gulf of Mexico Drive; the key is split between Sarasota and Manatee counties. Most accesses have a small lot of about 15 to 30 spaces, mostly unpaved, and two have none, and there are no restrooms or other facilities at them. Nobody may be on the beach between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., alcohol is not allowed on town property, animals are not allowed on the beach, and from May 1 through October lights must be kept off the beach at night for nesting sea turtles.
