Ross Marler Park Beach

Okaloosa County · Panhandle & Emerald Coast

1275 Santa Rosa Boulevard in Fort Walton Beach, and not on the Gulf: this one is on Choctawhatchee Bay, with swimming, boating and fishing rather than surf. Two boat ramps with their own trailer parking, a fishing pier with an accessible platform, a fenced playground, pavilions and grills, a walking trail with interpretive signs and two restroom buildings. Open from an hour before sunrise to an hour after sunset. It is named for Ross Clinton Marler, the last postmaster of Marler in Destin, who retired in 1972.
