One of the three cities on Anna Maria Island, and its shore is reached from most of the side streets running off Gulf Drive. Manatee Public Beach sits inside the city and is the one with full facilities and lifeguards. A free trolley runs the length of the island north and south, which is worth knowing because parking at the street ends is limited.
